Action Picks

Medical courier Bryan gets dragged into one horrifying night as everything around him collapses into chaos, a relentless race to stay alive from director Zach Cregger. This one is loud, mean, and in constant motion, exactly the kind of momentum an action fan wants, and the R rating means it does not flinch. See it big and loud; it plays in English.

Andrew Garfield leads a rebellion of commoners against the King in 14th-century England, plague and war raging as the fight for survival turns desperate. Paul Greengrass brings his hard-charging, handheld intensity to the uprising, with Jamie Bell and Tom Hollander in support and an R rating that keeps the combat unsparing. Screenings are thin on the ground this week, so grab it while you can; it plays in English.
